Gas insert for fireplace — Lexington-Fayette, KY

Last updated: September 24, 2026

What affects the price

The final price for a new gas fireplace depends on a few moving parts. First, you have to consider whether you are installing a unit into an existing chimney or creating a new opening in a wall, which adds labor. The type of venting required and the current proximity of your gas lines also play a big role in the complexity of the install. Aesthetic choices, like premium stone surrounds or remote-controlled flame features, will adjust the total as well.

About this service

A gas insert is a self-contained unit designed to fit directly into your existing open masonry fireplace to improve heat efficiency. It converts a drafty, traditional fireplace into a modern heating powerhouse. You need this service if you are looking to upgrade your old hearth or if your current insert is having trouble controlling the flame or heat output. We ensure the unit is fitted correctly, vented properly, and sealed to prevent heat loss and improve your home’s overall energy efficiency.

Many people think about fireplaces only in the cold, but summer is actually a great time to schedule an installation. Since demand is lower, you can often get your project finished without the long wait times seen during the peak winter months, making sure you are ready before the first frost arrives.
