Outdoor gas fireplace — Wilmington, NC

Last updated: September 24, 2026

What affects the price

The final price for a new gas fireplace depends on a few moving parts. First, you have to consider whether you are installing a unit into an existing chimney or creating a new opening in a wall, which adds labor. The type of venting required and the current proximity of your gas lines also play a big role in the complexity of the install. Aesthetic choices, like premium stone surrounds or remote-controlled flame features, will adjust the total as well.

About this service

An outdoor gas fireplace brings the warmth and ambiance of a hearth to your patio or backyard. These units are specifically engineered to withstand weather elements and provide a cozy focal point for outdoor gatherings. You might consider one if you want to extend the use of your deck into the cooler seasons. Installation typically involves running a dedicated gas line to the outdoor space, and exact pricing is confirmed free on the call.

Many people think about fireplaces only in the cold, but summer is actually a great time to schedule an installation. Since demand is lower, you can often get your project finished without the long wait times seen during the peak winter months, making sure you are ready before the first frost arrives.
